In Groningen and Leeuwarden, eighteen creative agencies opened their doors for an evening of networking, inspiration, and fun. From students to fellow professionals and from start-ups to curious passers-by: everyone came along.
Visitors can use a wristband to map out their own route along the participating agencies. Each agency puts together its own program. For example, you could take a seat in a podcast studio, visit an exhibition, or witness the launch of a new beer. Other agencies opted for more in-depth content, such as Agency Talks about collaboration in creative teams or workshops on the use of AI in marketing. Those looking for interaction could take part in a poker tournament, a live eye-tracking demo, or speed dating with creatives—under the watchful eye of none other than Sergio from First Dates.
MICA (Media Innovation Campus) is the initiator of the event. Director Didier Kick sees enthusiasm growing every year: "The strength of Open Agency Night lies in its openness and accessibility. We bring professionals, students, agencies, and other interested parties together in an informal way that still has real substance.
