The northern Netherlands is bursting with talent, and we need to connect that talent to the challenges in order to retain creative talent in the north. That is why the MICA Talent Pool was set up. We do this by linking students to suitable, paid assignments and offering graduates development programs at organizations in the region.
Within the MICA Talent Pool, we bring together supply and demand. Students from creative programs register and are selected based on their motivation and skills. Companies submit assignments or development questions. MICA ensures the right match, after which the student and client work together independently on a specific assignment or project.
Vocational and higher vocational students register via the registration form and, following a selection procedure based on their abilities, knowledge, and skills, are placed in the MICA talent pool. Once admitted, they join the Talent Pool and can be matched with paid, flexible part-time jobs and assignments that match their education and talent.

We are currently developing two traineeships for young professionals. These are focused on professional development and gaining practical experience at organizations in the region. Four days working at an organization, one day for personal development and growth.
If you don't know each other, you won't love each other. That's why we offer this traineeship, where you can get to know media organizations in the region while continuing to work on your professional development.
Transitions are not only technological or economic processes, but also require social imagination, behavioral change, and public support. Media and communication play a crucial role in this. Whether it concerns promoting circular consumption, normalizing renewable energy sources, or encouraging preventive healthcare, each of these transitions requires new narratives, images, language, and interaction. The term transition communication is relatively new and not yet firmly established in (academic) literature. By this term, we mean the conscious use of communication to guide people through change, so that they not only understand what is going on and become motivated to adopt new behaviors, but also feel capable of actually doing so.
This Traineeship is in collaboration with the MICA Lab for Transition Communication and is therefore affiliated with the Transformational Media research group.
