Are you looking for a creative part-time job?

Then we have something great for you: the MICA Talent Pool! It’s where you can gain experience in the field, pursue your passion for media, and earn money. Sounds like music to your ears, doesn’t it?

Why the MICA Talent Pool?

The northern Netherlands is brimming with creative talent, and it would be a shame to let that go to waste. That’s why the MICA Talent Pool exists: to connect your skills with real-world challenges in the region, so you can grow and continue building your future here.

Through the MICA Talent Pool, students get the chance to work on exciting, paid assignments that align with their studies and interests. Just graduated? Then you can gain experience at organizations in the north through development programs. How does it work? Simple. You sign up, show what you can do, and are selected based on your motivation and talent. Companies and organizations submit assignments or challenges. MICA then makes the match, and after that, you get to work independently on a real assignment for a real client.

Whether you’re a vocational or college student, once you’re accepted, you’ll join the Talent Pool and can be matched with flexible part-time jobs and projects that truly align with what you enjoy and what you’re good at. In short: not just any part-time job, but work that suits you and helps you grow.

The impact

  • You'll gain relevant work experience while you're in school

How do the Traineeships work?

Are you just starting your career and looking for more than just a job? Then this traineeship is for you.

You’ll work four days a week at an organization in the region and have one day dedicated to your own development—from building skills to personal growth.

What are the benefits?
You’ll gain relevant work experience, build a strong professional network, and discover your strengths. This will help you grow quickly as a professional and make it easier to find your place in the field.

You’ll work on issues that matter, such as sustainability, energy, and health. Transition communication is at the heart of this: how do you help people understand and participate in change? You’ll learn how to make a real impact through media and communication.

This traineeship is a collaboration between the MICA Lab for Transition Communication and the Transformational Media research group, so you’ll be at the forefront of the latest insights and practical applications.

In short: you work, learn, and grow all as part of a single program.

Creative communication & content creation
Students create fresh and relevant content: from social media posts to corporate identities, campaigns, and visual concepts. Always tailored to your target audience and platform.
Do you have a communication issue, a changing target group, or a need for insight into media or usage trends? Students conduct practical research, for example into brand perception, behavioral change, or media monitoring.
You will work with students on new concepts, formats, or strategies. Ideal for companies that are open to innovation and want to think outside the box.
Work together with students on projects and find your future intern or employee even before the application process begins.
